Unit 02 · Engineering

Custom software and integrations built around how your business actually runs

Web applications, client portals, internal platforms, CRM customization and API integrations. We build when off-the-shelf software stops fitting, and we say so when it does not need building at all.

When this is the right answer

Signs you need this

A workaround became the process

The spreadsheet, the shared inbox and the manual copy-paste are now holding the business up.

Your clients need an interface

A portal, a status page or a self-service view that your current tools cannot provide.

Systems that should talk, do not

Your CRM, billing, support and project tools each hold part of the truth.

A legacy tool is a risk

It works, but only one person understands it and it cannot be extended safely.

How it is delivered

People, process and technology

People

Delivered by developers working to a technical lead who owns the architecture. Additional developers or QA are recruited and assessed for your project rather than assumed to exist.

Process

Scope and milestones are defined after discovery. You see working software at each milestone and approve before the next payment.

Technology

We choose boring, well-supported technology you can maintain or hand to another team. Documentation and source ownership terms are part of the agreement.

Human delivery roles in this unit are scoped and validated for each engagement. We confirm roles, language, hours and supervision with you before committing coverage.

Deliverables

What you receive

  1. 01Technical specification and architecture
  2. 02Working software at each milestone
  3. 03Source code and documentation under agreed IP terms
  4. 04Test coverage for critical paths
  5. 05Handover or maintenance plan

Commercial model

Fixed price, milestone payments

Complex or exploratory work starts with a paid discovery phase so the build is priced against a real specification.

Ways to engage

  • Integration project. Connect named systems with monitoring and error handling.
  • Application build. A defined portal or internal tool, delivered in milestones.
  • Dedicated development capacity. Ongoing engineering for a roadmap, once team capacity is confirmed.

Questions

Good to know

Do I own the code?

Ownership and licensing are set out in the agreement before development starts. Our default intent is that custom work is yours, with third-party components under their own licenses.

Can you work with our existing tools?

Yes. Most of our integration work connects tools you already use. We assess API quality and limits during discovery.

What happens after launch?

You can maintain it yourself, retain us on a defined maintenance scope, or hand it to another team using the documentation we produce.

Next step

Tell us what is slowing your business down.

A Business Operations Review is a straightforward conversation about the problem. If we are not the right fit, we will say so.
